The oldest example of 'art' that we can still view is in the caves of Lascaux in France ... it is not just stick figures or a crude recreation of an animal ... but fully realized representations of flora and fauna that could hang in any gallery .. it is truly amazing ... it is estimated that these works were created about 30,000 years ago ...
Researchers and scientists now believe that speech resulted from an increased brain size plus attempts to communicate about art ... art in it's broadest sense ... music, painting ... and that art sprang from an intelligent mind's need to express itself as being different than everything else around it ...
So artistic expression and speech evolved quickly with a larger brain capacity ... what were conditions like just before this step change ... and it was a step change ...
Just before this step change humans were probably capable of some sort of minimalist speech ... they were harvesting animal skins for clothing ... making beads for decoration ... they were burying their dead ... and probably had developed some sort of primitive beliefs associated with life and death and the seasons ... they were developing complex group hunting techniques ...
And then something happened ... and homo sapiens as we know it ... occurred ... and with their superior intellect and advantages ... overwhelmed the gene pool ... and within 256 generations ... only homo sapiens remained ...
32768 years ago ... a craft impacts in Winslow, AZ ... on board are two life forms ... one male ... one female ... they produce an offspring from their union ... this offspring has a dominant genetic characteristic ... it is male ... at maturity no matter who it mates with .. will have the same genetic make-up ... the life form has been carefully 'designed' to look like local indigenous species ... but it is far from it ... it is transported to and released in an area close to present day Sarlat, France ... because this is where civilization as we know it is most advanced ... it makes contact with a local tribe of cliff dwellers ... with it's superior intelligence it quickly rises to lead the tribe ... it mated with several of the female members of the tribe and then, with others it had beaten and subsumed ...
It was purposely promiscuous and became legendary for such prowess ... it's progeny were many ... and genetically just like it ... a large brain case and immensely intelligent .. the tribe gave it a name out of awe, respect, fear and jealously ... they called it 'the maker' ... the equivalent today of saying, 'the man' ... in their crude guttural speech the name sounded Ah Tem ... it would evolve to Atem .. and then to the present day Adam .... one of his progeny would create the art in the caves of Lascaux ... just a hop, skip and a jump from present day Sarlat ... she was given a name meaning 'touching the cave' ... it sounded as Ah Wah ... it would evolve to Ewa .. and then to the present day form ... Eve ...
To quote from verse 32768 of the Krome Koan,
' ... experience is something you don't get until just after you need it ... '
