The motorcade winds it's way through the crowded streets ... people are lined up twenty deep ... children are on their father's backs ... folks are hanging out of building windows .. everyone is cheering and waving American flags ....
It is a blue sky, sunshine day ... it is warm ... it is warm enough that the top is down ... the motorcycles lead the way ... and another motorcycle escort lag behind ... forming a compact moving organism ...
Behind the crowd ... slightly elevated ... Abraham Zapruder readies his 8 mm video camera ... on a slightly raised knoll cub reporter Dan Rather watches everything with interest ... 7 floors up, Lee Harvey has opened a window in the building where he works, has his lunch spread out before him and has his rifle ready for action ... it's an Italian infantry rifle ... model 1891/1938 ... manufactured in Terni, Italy ... it uses 6.5x52 mm loads ... it has an attached telescopic sight .. which he was just then trying out ...
Dan Rather could now see the motorcade approaching ... beside Dan is a young couple with their son ... Dan is mistaken .. the young child ... a 13 year old ... is not with the young couple at all ... he is dressed neatly in a suit and has a schoolbag ... he is staying close to the young couple so as to look as if he is with them ...
Abraham is videoing now ... Dan asks the young boy if he'd like a boost so he can see .. the kid says, 'Yeah, sure ... ' ... Dan lifts him to his shoulders ... the motorcade is just about opposite Dan and the kid ... a shot rings out ... the kid shakes his head ... Lee Harvey couldn't hit the broad side of a barn ...
The kid pulls a gun out of his schoolbag ... and fires ... and blows the side of 'It's head clean out ... Dan has no idea what the kid has done but realizes something is terribly wrong .. he let's the kid down and runs towards the motorcade ... the kid walks away slowly, crosses the road and turns a corner ... the kid morphs into a middle aged man ... that looks like a caricature of a gangster ...
The middle-aged man shakes his head and keeps on walking ... he mumbles to himself in disgust ... Lee Harvey ... and shakes his head ... he gets into his car and slowly drives away .. the car is registered to Jacob Leon Rubinstein ... his friends know him as Jack Ruby ...
