So ... we have a device buried underneath the Upheaval Dome in the Island in the Sky area of Canyonlands .. it is both accelerating the geological evolution of the earth ... and monitoring it ... but to what purpose ...
If you have seen 2001: A Space Odyssey ... there was a sentinel placed on the moon .. a monolith that would signal when man had developed to a technological state to be able to reach it ...
Well ... man ... did not exist at this time ... the time of the Upheaval Dome creation ... so this sentinel was looking for something else ... and I am going to suggest what was being looked at was geologic stability ... but one other thing ... factors that would support 'life' ... for you see the atmospheric pressure at the earth's surface was 370 times what it is now ... in fact it is almost the same as it is at the bottom of the Mariana Trench .. the deepest point in the ocean on earth ... 35,000 feet deep ...
And so it was waiting for what it knew it would inevitably see ... a lower pressure, temperature and atmospheric quality that would support 'life' ... however it defined 'life' ....
Approximately 50,000 to 20,000 years ago there was another large impact ... this time ... about 35 miles east of Flagstaff, AZ in Winslow, AZ ... it was estimated the object was 80 feet in diameter or in length ... actually it was 64 feet ... more on the importance of this later ... again it was a spectacular event ... producing enough heat to make diamonds.
The straight line distance between the Upheaval Dome and what has become called the Barringer Meterorite Crater in Winslow, AZ is 256 miles ... we will come back to why this distance and number is important as well ...
What was the importance of this second 'impact' ... this one was piloted ... this one had intelligent life on board ... the earth had reached the point where the next step could be taken ... it was time to try once again... it was time to try once more ... maybe this time ... the end result of evolution and progress ... could be managed in such a way as to avoid the inevitable ... the total destruction of the planet and the evolving species ... maybe ...
To quote from verse 256 of the Krome Koan,
