Hello Folks,
The word anarchist comes from the Greek 'archon' ... an arkhon was one of the 9 chief magistrates of ancient Athens ... which later morphed to arkhe ... rule ... and then to arkhos ... ruler ... so an-arkhe ... became anarchy and anyone who promoted or practiced it ... an an-arkhe-ist ... or today .. anarchist ....
But King Eglon lived 3500 years before this ... so the term had not yet been coined ... but the assassination of Eglon would cure that ...
'It' kept watch on the movements of homo sapiens and 'it' knew it was only a matter of time before groups would be tired of the constant struggle that movement and migration entailed ... and would try to settle a particular area ... once this decision was made, it was only a matter of time before the group would become stratified on basis of might ... the mighty at the top ... the less mighty in between ... the meek at the bottom ...
The mighty can't stand the thought of someone or something more mighty ... so conflicts between neighboring groups were quite common ... the mightier becoming mighty until a city with all it's advantages and disadvantages evolved ... and whatever it is about a collection of individuals in such a collective ... 80% were happy and contributing to the enterprise ... 10% were taking advantage of it .. and as usual leaders in this group emerge to give voice and spur on this 10% ... they never act themselves ... they just take advantage of those that do .. and 10% were downtrodden, looked down upon and were treated unfairly and cruelly ... the behavior of the top 10% motivate the bottom 10% to acts that would be considered outside the law ... and as usual leaders emerge to give voice and spur the 10% ... they never act themselves ... they just take advantage of those that do ...
The Sumerian region was the first of what we now call civilizations ... basically a country without borders having several fiefdoms ... in the Moab area of that civilization King Eglon was king ... but one of 8 kings subservient to the Sumerian King ... today we would refer to Eglon as a governor or a premier ...
'It' recognized the time was ripe ... the Sumerian king wanted rid of Eglon because he was perceived as a threat ... because the leaders of the top 10% wanted it for a whole set of different reasons ... Eglon wanted to make reforms to help his people and to make life easier for his neighbors ... the leaders of the bottom 10% didn't want that because their role wouldn't be needed ... these reforms would be too costly ...Eglon must be 'removed' ... and replaced by someone who was agreeable to the top 10% but someone who would continue in the same vain ... thus maintaining the status quo ...
Recognizing all the signs ... on the day of the assassination, 'It' simply materializes in Eglon's private quarters, subdues him and 'transports' him to his 'ship' ... 'It' takes on the physical aspects of King Eglon and is later that day 'assassinated' by Ehud ... or was 'It' ...
To quote from verse 3500 of the Krome Koan,
' ... I'd kill for a Nobel Peace prize ... '
